How do you know that God is in your life?

Welcome to Walid Rafo Advice!

I am a Spiritual Counsellor and I have opened up this site to help those in need. Specifically, those who are encountering certain obstacles in life. It is a great blessing to be in this position. A position where I can help others just as Christ has helped others. Most things I have had experience with, and others I have learned from. Either way, I do not answer questions I am not knowledgable of. I will take my time to respond if I must. Either way, I will make sure that your question is answered as soon as possible, and to get you the assistance you need through my writing.

When you receive the gift of the Holy Spirit you do not begin to question whether or not God is in your life. With the Holy Spirit you are certain that you have the Lord in your life, as a matter of fact he is in you. There are people, however, who begin to question whether or not God is in their life. These people have specific reasons.

For example, the person asking this question mentioned that the reason they don't know whether or not God is in their life is because of all of the suffering that they are enduring. I can almost guarantee that anyone who suffers feels the same way, and I do not blame you. Is it wrong to feel that you don't know whether or not God is with you? No. This is a common feeling many people have, especially when they are going through trials and tribulations.

I, however, have never questioned. Just take a look at all of the prophets in the Bible. Look at all of the Martyrs. Didn't they all suffer? As a matter of fact, wasn't God always with them? Let us not let our trials and tribulations get in the way of acknowledging that God is in our life.

When you have God in your life, it is the most beautiful thing in the world. No one can separate the love you will have for each other. There is such great and beautiful love that is present, and personally, I would never trade it in the world for anything! This is the love you must have for God.

Now, on the other hand there are plenty of people who believe they have God when they do not. This is why quite often we question also. It is quite easy to discern whether or not you have God by examining your life. If you are someone who is constantly breaking the commandments of God without repenting nor feeling any remorse, you do not have God. If you are someone who has repented and strives everyday to live a Christ-like life out of love for God, you have God in your life.

All of these questions of yours can be easily answered and determined through examining your life. In other words, you cannot dissipher a book without first reading its context.

Today's main focus will be on the saying, "Whoever welcomes you, welcomes me." This was a message I received in a dream of mine. Now that I'm thinking back to that dream, I say to myself, what a loving and close God we have. If we show tremendous amounts of love to God, it's as if he shows love beyond what you expect him to show. It's quite difficult to explain. Imagine you, not knowing what else to do to show love to the person you love. You sort of go crazy inside of yourself, because you want to show more love but don't know how to express it.

This was the dream:

One day, I saw my father inside of the chapel in our home. He was on his knees, bowing his head and praying. When he finished, he was kneeling in silence. Then, he saw a bright white light. He turned his head behind him and saw our Lord Jesus sitting on the chair. Jesus is beautiful. His presence is beyond what we can try to explain. My father said to him, "My Lord. Welcome." Jesus said to him, "My father loves you very much, and you do not know exactly how much. Let me take you with me, and let me show you something."

Then, Jesus and my father held hands, and he took him to the house of one of my father's siblings. I saw my father knocking on the door, and Jesus was beside him glowing in a bright white light, but no one could see him except for my dad. When his sibling opened the door, my father stepped inside. But when he went inside, his sibling said to him, "Get out of here, I don't want you in my house. I don't want anything to do with you anymore!" Then, my father looked to Jesus in sadness. Jesus said to him, "Dust your feet on their matt, and leave." My father dusted his feet on the matt, and I saw so much dust flying in that area. Then, he stepped outside of the house. Jesus said to my father, "Because you dusted your feet at their home, it is proof for their household that they rejected you. If ever one day they say that they welcomed you, my father will show them the dust."

Then, Jesus said to him, "Come, let me take you somewhere else now." Jesus took my father to a bakery. My father ordered an espresso, and just to be humorous, he asked Jesus if he wanted an espresso also. Jesus laughed and embraced my father. Then, they went to sit down. One of my fathers other siblings came to the bakery, and we were sitting down together. He asked my father, "Please, come over to my house. It will be a blessing for my home to receive you." My father rejected. But then, the Lord Jesus said to my father, "You are wrong to reject them. Whoever welcomes you, welcomes me. Whoever rejects you, rejects me. This family of yours is welcoming you, so you should go, and do not say no to him." Then, my father apologized and accepted. He went to his home, and their home was filled with light and the presence of the Holy Spirit.

At the end of the dream, Jesus showed my father everything from a distance.

He saw himself visiting the first home of his sibling that rejected him, but he noticed that instead of him, it was God the Father at the door. When they opened the door, they were surprised by his visit. The Lord walked into the home, but none of us could see his face. When he entered, he asked them, "Why did you reject my child?" They answered him, "He was never here. If he would only accept our invitation we would be more than glad." Then the Lord in anger said to them, "Really? Was he not here? So then, why is your home filled with dust?" He was referring to when my father was there and Jesus told him to dust his feet and leave. They were all speechless, and the Lord left them. But then, my father saw the Lord walking to his other sibling that invited him to his home, and he saw the glory of God's light radiating throughout their entire home. It was a beautiful and strong white light. If you were to enter the home, you would not be able to see where you are going from how powerful the light was.

This was my dream about my father. I've learned quite a lot from the dreams I have received about my father. Although many of the dreams were directed towards my father, I learned a lesson from each and every dream. I consider myself blessed to have received so many revelations from the Lord and his kingdom.

Many years ago, my grandmother (Nana) was in critical care at the hospital. She was a loving, strong, respectful individual that everyone loves. She is held most sincerely in the hearts of everyone who knew her. For the sake of my background, I will refer to my grandmother as "Nana."

A while back, my Nana was in critical care. She was about to die and everyone was in great devastation. We all felt great sorrow within our hearts because we didn't want to lose such a valuable member of our family. All the families were crying and grieving greatly. Among the people there were my father, my grandfather, and his brothers and sister.

All the doctors at the hospital mentioned that this is the end of the road for her, and that it's time to pull the plugs. They pulled the plugs and everyone began to weep even more heavily than before.

My father left the hospital at once and travelled to MaryLake Shrine. He has always had a special spot in the heart of our most Blessed Mother Mary. He arrived at MaryLake to find electricians working on an impossible electrical issue. As soon as my father walked into the shrine, all the lights turned on immediately. There was a priest there by the name of Father Eugene. He went to my father while he was praying to the Mother Mary statue, and asked Mother Mary for forgiveness because he interrupted him. He told my father, "This is a miracle, this is a miracle! All the electricians are talking about the big estimates we will have to pay in order to fix the electricity in the church because it's such a serious problem. But as soon as you walked in all the power was restored automatically. Even the electricians can't believe their eyes." Ever since that day, my dad and Father Eugene have had a close relationship.

My Father went back to the Mother Mary statue in the shrine, knelt down, and continued to pray. He cried a lot during his time with our Blessed Mother and asked Mother Mary to keep Nana in life. At the moment he started to cry, he heard the voice of our Blessed Mother Mary. She said, "Go. She will live three more years from now." My father immediately wiped his tears and rushed to the hospital. He rushed to the floor she was at and saw everyone crying. He saw his father weeping the most exclaiming that she's dead.

My Father went to his father in a strong presence in front of the doctors and said, "Baba, she's alive she's not dead." He answered, "No, she's dead! Look my son she has no more life." The doctors said, "It would be a miracle if she came back to life. From everything we've observed, she's gone. I'm sorry for your loss." My father persisted, "She's alive, I had a message from my Mother Mary that she's going to live an extra 3 years." As soon as my father finished saying that, Nana took a deep breath as if life entered her again, and smiled. All the doctors were amazed and proclaimed, "It's a miracle!". Everyone believed that the most Blessed Mother Mary's intercession was answered by her dear Son, Jesus Christ.

After this, she lived for exactly three more years, just as the blessed Mother Mary had mentioned. Then, she passed away into the loving hands of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Let us take this as a great example. What did Jesus say in the Bible? He said you will do things that I have done and even greater. This is a time when my Father did something through the Power of Jesus Christ, like Jesus himself. I never write these blogs glorifying ourselves, because we are unworthy of our Lord. Instead, we glorify the one who has done these things through us, Jesus Christ. There is most definitely great power and healing in the name of Jesus Christ.

I am glad that through the intercession of Mother Mary, my Nana was given three extra years. I at least got to spend more time with her and come to know her better than before.

Thank you, Mother Mary, for this gift you have given to us.

Now, in order to appropriately answer this question we must go back in time to the beginning. God created us as clean and pure. He would walk the earth and speak with us as if it's a normal occurence. The question now becomes, what stopped and changed? Was it God or us? How did it impact our relationship with God. The answer is that we sinned and went against God. We chose our desire and will over his. It impacted our relationship with God in a negative way and distanced ourselves from him.

Is there any good news or only this terrible news? Fortunately, there is still good news! God sent his only beloved Son, Jesus Christ, to the world to redeem and rescue us. The only actions we must partake in is accepting him. Now, accepting him isn't just saying "I accept Jesus and that's all." It's about being a representation of who Jesus is on the earth. Making disciples from all nations in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. It's about showing love to all people and doing what Christ has asked for us to do. We are expected to follow his greatest commandment in "Love one another, just as I have loved you."

Therefore, if sin is what separated us from God, refraining from sinning through the love we have for God and through our relationship with Jesus Christ is enough to reunite our bond with him. You cannot love both God and sin. You cannot serve both God and sin. It is like saying you serve two masters. It just doesn't work that way.

Also, there are certainly things that you can do in order to get closer to God. Some of those things include prayer, reading the Holy Bible, going to the Holy Mass, meditating, and showing love to others just as Jesus Christ has showed his love unto us.

When you pray or go to mass, do not stare at your watch or phone. Your attention should be solely upon the Lord and nothing else. Let him be your good target in everything you do. Even if you are at work or speaking with a friend, never let the Lord off of your mind! He must always be in your heart, mind, and soul.
